Single origin

Her name is Mona.

Every product we make begins the same way — in a paddock in Hawkesbury, at dawn, with Mona, our one Jersey cow. Her milk is richer in butterfat than almost any other breed's. We don't blend it, buy it in, or stretch it. What Mona gives is what we make.

That's the whole idea. When you know exactly where every drop comes from, you don't need to hide anything.

How it's made

Slowly, and by hand.

Milked at dawn

One cow, milked by hand each morning. The milk is chilled within the hour and used fresh.

Poured by hand

Cold-processed in small batches so the milk keeps its character. No heat, no shortcuts.

Cured six weeks

Each bar rests on timber racks until it's hard, mild and long-lasting. We don't rush this.

Weeks 1–6

Wrapped in paper

Cut, stamped and wrapped by the same hands. Paper and card only — nothing to throw away.

Why milk from just one cow?

Because it's the only way to know exactly what's in the bar. One cow, one paddock, one diet — the milk never varies with a supplier's herd or season blend. Single origin isn't a slogan for us; it's the recipe.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Our ingredient lists are short and fully disclosed, and the Pure Milk Soap is completely unscented. Skin is personal, though — if yours reacts easily, patch-test on the inside of your arm first, and read the full list on every product page.

How long does a bar last?

Six to eight weeks of daily use, because we cure every bar for six weeks until it's properly hard. Keep it on a dish that drains between uses and it will last even longer.

When will my order ship?

The first batch finishes curing in Spring 2026. Join the curing list and we'll write to you once — the day it's ready. First Batch gift sets are numbered and ship first.
