01Who you are buying from

Maison Jersey is a sole-trader business operated from the Hawkesbury, New South Wales, Australia — ABN 19 601 433 237. Buying from this site means you accept these terms, so they are written to be readable.

02Handmade, and it shows

Everything is made by hand in small batches from the milk of one cow. Colour, pattern and scent vary a little from batch to batch and bar to bar — that variation is the point, not a defect. Net weights and volumes are as stated on each label.

03Cosmetic use and safety

Our products are cosmetics for external use: they cleanse and care for the look and feel of skin and lips. They are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure anything — if you have a skin concern, see a health professional.

• Patch test any new product on a small area first.
• Stop using a product if your skin reacts, and get in touch.
• Keep products out of eyes; rinse with water if it happens.
• Full ingredient lists are on every wrapper and every product page — check them if you have known sensitivities.

04Prices and payment

All prices are in Australian dollars. Shipping is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay. Payments are processed securely by Shopify Payments; we never see your card details. Prices can change, but never for an order you have already placed.

05Orders, and the first batch

An order is accepted when we email your confirmation. While a batch is curing, orders are pre-orders: the expected shipping window is shown on each product page and in your confirmation. If a batch runs seriously late, we will tell you promptly and you may cancel any unshipped order for a full refund at any time before it is posted.

We may decline or refund an order in rare cases — for example if a product sells out mid-checkout or a listing contained an obvious error. If that happens, you get a full refund and an honest explanation.

06Shipping, returns and refunds

The details live on their own pages: Shipping — Australia and Returns & refunds. Both form part of these terms. Nothing in any of them limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

07Our words and pictures

The photographs, drawings, words and marks on this site — including the Maison Jersey name and the milk-drop mark — belong to Maison Jersey. You are welcome to share them with credit; please do not use them commercially without asking first.

08Liability, within the law

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss caused by using this site or our products other than as directed. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

09The boring but necessary

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. If one clause turns out to be invalid, the rest still stand. We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when we last did, and changes never apply to orders already placed.
