Ingredients Care Questions

What's inside

Seven ingredients. Nothing to hide.

In plain words

  • Raw Jersey milk from Mona, milked the morning of the pour
  • Olive oil the body of the bar — mild and long-lasting
  • Coconut oil a generous, cushioning lather
  • Shea butter leaves skin feeling soft, not stripped
  • Castor oil a small share, for a stable, creamy foam

Cold-process saponification turns these oils and milk into soap and naturally occurring glycerine. No fragrance, no colour — nothing added for scent, and nothing synthetic along the way.

On the label — INCI

Sodium Olivate, Sodium Cocoate, Sodium Shea Butterate, Sodium Castorate, Lac (Raw Jersey Milk), Glycerin*, Aqua.

*Naturally occurring — formed during saponification, never added. The full ingredient list is printed on every wrapper, in descending order by weight.

In use

A bar this slow deserves to last.

Lather with warm water

Work the bar between wet hands or on a cloth. The lather is dense and creamy rather than airy — a little goes a long way, face to feet.

Let it drain between uses

Keep the bar on a dish that drains, out of the direct stream of the shower. Dry between uses, a six-week-cured bar wears slowly and evenly.

Store the spare in the dark

Unopened bars keep best somewhere cool and dry — a linen cupboard is ideal. They will quietly scent the shelf while they wait.

How it's made

Questions

Asked, answered.

How does Jersey milk soap compare to goat milk soap?

They are close cousins — both gentle, creamy milk soaps. Jersey cow milk is notably rich in butterfat, which lends the lather a dense, almost lotion-like feel. Ours also comes from a single named cow, Mona, so the milk never varies with a supplier’s herd or the season’s blend.

Is it truly unscented?

Yes — nothing is added for scent, no fragrance and no essential oils. What remains is the faint, clean smell of the soap itself, which fades on rinsing.

My skin reacts easily — is this the right bar?

This is the bar we point reactive skin to first: the shortest list we make, fully disclosed on every wrapper, with nothing added for scent or colour. As with any new product, patch-test on a small area first.

How long does one bar last?

Six to eight weeks of daily use. Every bar is cured for six weeks until properly hard, so it wears slowly. Kept on a dish that drains between uses, it lasts longer still.

When will my order ship?

Batch № 001 finishes curing in Spring 2026 and ships Australia-wide from the Hawkesbury, in the order the orders arrived. Join the curing list and we’ll email you once, the day it’s ready.
